AMAZON GARDEN LODGE
Welcome to Peru Amazon Garden Lodge, a 100% Peruvian tour operator based in the Tambopata Natural Reserve. We are passionate about showcasing the beauty of Peru’s natural wonders and committed to making a positive impact on the local communities.
Our founders, Wistman and Dina, are a Peruvian couple who have a deep love for their country and extensive experience as guides in both the Cusco Region and the Amazon Rainforest. After working with large foreign companies, they noticed that the benefits were mostly flowing back to those companies’ home countries, leaving minimal benefits for the local Peruvians.
In response, Wistman and Dina established Peru Amazon Garden Lodge in 2005 as an alternative option for travelers seeking tours from locally-based companies. Our aim was to compete with large foreign companies by offering tours of similar quality, length, and included activities while ensuring that the benefits stay within the local community.
